  Viewpoint Integration with Third-party Applications
  • Fabtrol MRP – BIG created an application to format purchase order data exported from the Fabtrol system (used by a manufacturer providing structural steel) and move the PO data to the Viewpoint server.
  • ILS - Updates a recycling center’s ILS database with current jobs, trucks, and customers from Viewpoint's SQL database, and creates a text file of ILS tickets which can be imported into Viewpoint.
  • Libra - transfers equipment, job, and customer data from Viewpoint to the Access-based Libra Gen 3 system (for an asphalt plant).
  • Rexcon – A BIG application pushes Material Sales (MS) quote data to Rexcon.
  • JWS – BIG’s program downloads asphalt plant tickets created by JWS, permits the user to verify and/or update vendor, unit pricing, and phase codes before uploading to Viewpoint, and then generate a load report for email distribution.
  • PetroVend – a fuel system data transfer process that allows users to review and edit vehicle and fuel information before uploading to Viewpoint.
 
  Custom Programs Using Viewpoint Data
  • A system to create custom Purchase Orders which can be imported into Viewpoint.
  • A travel pay system which handles a customer’s unique needs for paying employees who travel from their homes to work locations.
  • A graphical calendar interface for entering into Viewpoint’s HR Resource Calendar all employee time off.
  • An Automated Schedule Import, which automates the process of creating a batch of employee leave time records .
  • Nextel wireless billing report – matches data from telecomm carrier’s monthly bill to employee department information in Viewpoint.
  • Viewpoint EM Mass Rate Change - Enhances the equipment accountant’s capability to change Viewpoint template equipment rates (by equipment, by template, or by category).
  • Custom Notifier Module to create and modify workflow and notifier queries from Viewpoint’s Workflow module.
  • Custom work with Data Transformation Services (DTS) and OLAP for SQL 2000, as well as SSIS and Analysis Services for SQL 2005 and 2008.
 
  Web Application Integration
  • An Employee Information web application to determine which job site an employee is assigned to, provide basic employee information, and update job assignments.
  • An Equipment Locator web application provides the ability to view or update the location of a vehicle or equipment item.
 
  Custom Reporting
  • Crystal report customization – including upgrading custom reports for Viewpoint 6.
  • Custom report creation using FRX reporting.
  • SQL Reporting services and Component One reporting for needs outside of the Viewpoint Application.
 
  Complementary Applications
  • Resource Calendar – A graphical “Outlook” style calendar for point-and-click entry of “Time Off” into Viewpoint. Mass-enter holiday (or any current time-off code) to all employees by Company, Department, PRGroup, or more. Export time directly into your payroll batch — no double entry.
  • Start Viewpoint – Secures Viewpoint logins to eliminate any nasty back-door SQL access to your valuable data. Can your users get to your Payroll information without launching Viewpoint?
